Babies bring a special joy to the world, don’t they? This painting is about two babies and keeping them safe.

The inspiration is Revelation 12:5 - And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to his throne. NASB

This part of John’s vision tells about a baby that was born to a certain woman. He was taken to heaven right after he was born to get him away from the dragon that was waiting to devour him. The baby is safe in the Father’s strong arms.

At Christmas, we remember that Joseph was told by an angel to take his family out of Israel to Egypt. They were to stay until God told them to go back. The baby Jesus was kept safe by the earthly father God provided for Him.

We can have joy because of the Baby born in Bethlehem, and as we remember the salvation He would provide for us on the cross.
