A friend asked if had painted any tulips. Since I haven’t, I wanted to try one. It is fall here right now, so I looked up tulips and found out you can have tulips in autumn. They have to be started in the southern hemisphere, then the bulbs are shipped here and treated specially so they will bloom in autumn. Pretty neat!
My application to us is this - if you feel like God is doing something different with you than He is with those around you, maybe He is preparing you to be a tulip that blooms in autumn.
Or maybe all Christians are tulips in autumn because when we accepted what Jesus did for us on the cross, that made us citizens of heaven. So in a sense, we have come from some other hemisphere. And we know God is working specially with us. Therefore, He can make us bloom in autumn! Philippians 1:6
