Our church has been reading through the New Testament together this year, and of course we are in Revelation now, hence the inspiration verse from Revelation. This is the first painting.

Two thousand years ago, hope reached down from heaven when Jesus came to earth as a baby. This is what we celebrate at Christmas.
In this passage, the risen Jesus has appeared to John in a vision while the apostle was exiled on the island of Patmos. This painting is a reminder that the One Who belongs in glorious heaven gave us hope by reaching down to us here on earth.'
