Our church has been reading through the New Testament together this year, and of course we are in Revelation now, hence the inspiration verse from Revelation. This is the second painting.
'The inspiration for this painting is Revelation 5:9 - And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. (NASB)
The map represents all the places on earth, where people can find peace with God. Heaven will be populated with saints from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.
Jesus came as a babe to Bethlehem to bring peace, but not peace on earth - yet. He came to bring peace to mankind on earth.
We can have the peace of God reigning in our hearts now no matter what is happening on the earth.'
