The most meaningful holiday for me is Easter. Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection are the central events in history - all done so we who choose to trust what He did instead of our own goodness can be justified before a holy God. What a great thing to celebrate!
The crosses in the distance represent the cross where Jesus died with the criminals. In the foreground is the empty tomb showing the burial cloths remaining after He rose from the dead. After appearing to hundreds of people to prove that it really happened, He went to heaven.
A short version of these events is in what is believed to be an early creed found in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8. Of course, you can read the gospel accounts in Matthew 27:33-28:10, Mark 15:22-16:13, Luke 23:33-24:12, and John 19:16-20:18.
