This is a sample of the painting I’ve been doing in this month of December 2020 - bookmarks for the residents of the assisted living center in our town.  I enjoyed making 70 original bookmarks for them.

The message on the back comes from Luke 2:9-11

. . . And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, . . . And the angel said unto them, Fear not:  for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. . .

This is part of what Linus says in the Peanuts Christmas special.  He ends with ‘And that’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.’

The front of the bookmark is simple, just a branch and a shiny ball ornament, as a reminder of the tree in that special that was transformed into a beautiful tree.

May this Christmas help us remember that God transforms lives when we let the Savior in.
